BookMeCheapest.online is operated by Sri Tharani Enterprise Co., Ltd and powered by Sea and Sky Travel Solutions Private Limited (IATA License No. 14025685), acting as an independent travel intermediary. Because we book on behalf of airlines, refund eligibility is governed primarily by the airline's own fare conditions — not solely by us.
To request a cancellation or refund, please contact us immediately at (844) 205-4177 or email contact@bookmecheapest.online. Acting quickly gives you the most available options and may reduce applicable penalties.
Refund eligibility varies significantly depending on the fare type purchased:
| Fare Type | Refund Eligibility | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Fully Refundable | Refund available (minus fees) | Airline cancellation fee and our service fee may apply |
| Partially Refundable | Taxes/fees portion may be refunded | Base fare is typically forfeited; government taxes may be recoverable |
| Non-Refundable | No refund on base fare | Only government taxes may be refundable; some airlines offer travel credit |
| Promotional / Sale | Usually non-refundable | Fully non-refundable from time of purchase; may not be changeable |
For refundable and partially refundable fares, airlines typically apply cancellation penalties on a sliding scale. While exact terms vary by airline, carrier, and fare, a general schedule is as follows:
| Time Before Departure | Typical Airline Penalty | What May Be Refunded |
|---|---|---|
| More than 24 hours after booking (within 24 hrs of booking) |
Often no penalty (US DOT rule for US carriers) | Full fare may be refunded for qualifying US domestic/international tickets |
| 7+ days before departure | Low to moderate fee | Most of fare minus airline fee and our service fee |
| 3–6 days before departure | Moderate to significant fee | Partial refund or airline travel credit only |
| Within 48 hours | High penalty; often 100% | Government taxes only (if any) |
| No-Show | Full forfeiture | No refund in most cases |
The above is a general illustration only. Actual penalties depend on your specific airline, fare class, route, and ticket conditions.
For tickets purchased for travel originating in the United States and booked at least 7 days before departure, the US Department of Transportation (DOT) requires airlines to offer either a free 24-hour hold or a full refund if cancelled within 24 hours of purchase. This rule applies to direct bookings with the airline. Where we pass through this benefit, it will be communicated at the time of booking. Our own service fee may still be retained in accordance with our policy.
If the airline cancels your flight or makes a significant schedule change (typically defined as a departure time change of 2 hours or more), you are generally entitled to one of the following options as determined by the airline:
We will assist you in assessing your options and submitting the appropriate request to the airline. However, the final decision and processing timeline are governed by the airline's policies and are outside our direct control.
If you wish to change travel dates, destinations, cabin class, or passenger names, contact us at (844) 205-4177 as early as possible. Changes are subject to airline availability, fare differences between the original and new fare, airline change fees, and our amendment service fee. In many cases, a date change may be more cost-effective than cancelling and rebooking — our agents will advise you on the best approach.
In cases of extraordinary circumstances such as natural disasters, pandemics, government travel bans, or acts of war, airlines may issue travel credits, waive change fees, or provide partial refunds in accordance with their specific policies for that event. We will communicate available options to you as soon as information is available from the airline. We are not independently liable for circumstances beyond our control.
If you believe you are entitled to a refund or have a billing concern, please contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Filing a chargeback without attempting resolution with us may delay your refund, result in automatic booking cancellation, and complicate your case. Chargebacks filed without merit may be contested, and we reserve the right to recover associated costs and fees.
